For a degree in piano music LADISLAV JELINEK attended the conservatory of Brno and studied under the famous Czech master, Prof.F.Schäfer at the Janácek Academy - JAMU in Brno. Already during his studies he was the winner of the first Smetana Piano Contest in Hradec Králové, and also of the contest of the Czech Conservatories in Bratislava. For several times he received the Czech Musical Fond Award for his excellent interpretations of Czech and Russian compositions.

 

Until 1981 LADISLAV  JELINEK had occupation as a pedagogue of the University of Brno and at the conservatory of Moravian Ostrava (professorship for piano as main subject). Since 1984 he works as university teacher for piano at the Frankfurt am Main University for Music and the Performing Arts in Germany.

 

As a piano soloist and chamber musician in demand he gives concerts in nearly all European countries, North America and Asia. His repertory includes all periods and styles of piano music. He collaborates with leading orchestras in Europe and Asia. Numerous recordings respectively shootings for the Bayerischer Rundfunk-München (Germany), the Czech TV, the Czech radio, the Südwestrundfunk (Germany), the Japanese TV, the Korean TV, the Korean radio…, on CD and DVD-VIDEO, with compositions by L.v.Beethoven, J.Brahms, F.Chopin, A.Dvorák, J.Haydn, L.Janácek, F.Liszt, Liszt – Verdi, Liszt – Wagner, W.A.Mozart, Vít.Novák, J.Novák. S.Prokofjew, F.Smetana...  accompany his artistic work.
